This was one of those patterns that jumped out at me. I had been sitting on the yarn for some time and couldn’t decide what to do with it. The pattern was featured in Spin-Off, the Summer 08 issue along with an awesome gallery of examples in all different types of yarn.

The yarn itself is some hand spun that I did with some roving from Hello Yarn, which was one of my first attempts at a lace weight. It’s uneven but that’s part of the beauty of it now.

Getting around to uploading the pics from the Halloween parade last weekend. They’re not all great as everyone was moving and shuffling and a few stupid cows felt the need to stand directly in front of those of us who were trying to take pictures while sitting on the curb so the people behind us could see. Gotta love rude people who don’t give a shit, please go die in a fire.
I’ve loved this area of town since I moved to Atlanta and Halloween is a major production for most of the houses around here. It’s also a great place to trick or treat with kids because there are so many families that we know from the kid’s school. It’s definitely a reminder of what it was like back when we were kids, parents sitting on porches handing out treats while the kids are free to roam up and down the street from house to house.
Satan’s holiday my arse, it’s all about the candy….and having the coolest costume a kid could ask for. All the pics of the event are in the gallery…enjoy.
As you all know, I recently shifted my toons over to a new server. There was a bit of hesitation as I’ve been playing with the same people for what seems like a bazillion years and getting to know a whole new bunch was a bit scary. Ok, I was worried that they would be kind of normal and I would be the weird one. Last night I realized that I think I’m in the right place after all.
Screenie or it didn’t happen. I wasn’t the one who asked the question, and honestly, I was too busy laughing hysterically to respond.
I just found this one through another site and I am soooo loving this guy beyond words. I would cyber marry him and have his little troll babies if I weren’t already married. If there was ever a place where you could send people to understand what MMO Raiding was really like, this would be the site.

I mentioned being made GM of our guild, well the old gm is a great guy and is still around on several toons even though his main is on another server now. He’s still the person I go to with questions and such, so guess how much I freaked out yesterday when I logged in and went to drop some stuff in the bank, and there he was emptying all the high end items from it. I sent him a quick WTF? and he promptly logged out. I had a gut feeling on this one.
I got a Bliz GM involved immediately, and his account was locked. I questioned the person on the other end of the account was the person I knew. After much round and round with was it a hack or did he screw us babbling and second guessing from the majority of members, it was determined that his account had been hacked. Hopefully everything will get replaced and sorted out. The bad part is, it’s not our loss of guild items that upset me. It was the hacker gutting all of the guy’s toons. He had just swapped servers because he had the opportunity to run with a guild doing some serious end game content. Life sucks sometimes.
