We all know that it’s hard enough to cram in 20 hours of gaming/raiding/fragging/pwning and still find time to eat right so we don’t all look like Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons. New food addiction…
Comments OffGreek yogurt! I’m trying to figure out how many different ways I can use it.
Breakfast can be strawberries and a bit of sucanat to top it off. I’ve also used it in place of mayo and sour cream.
Need to wake up more and get some bits done here..

Junk food goodness
Comments OffWe’ve been trying to cut back on buying prepackaged snack stuff again. I was sitting here watching bad 80s movies and had a flash of inspiration. Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies. My mom used to make these occasionally and I remember standing around in the kitchen waiting for them to cool off enough to eat.
I think we may have the snacks of awesomeness later today. The kid is on spring break this week, so he’s around all day. It might actually be fun to drag him into the kitchen to help with this.

Coping Skills…I have none
Comments OffAs of last night, it has begun, the stress of being a parent of a teenager. I got a call from the kid, who’s over at his dad’s house. “Can you pick me up tomorrow night at 9?”
After about 5 minutes of back and forth avoidance, I discovered that there is a school dance tonight, and there will be free food and “stuff”. Now in the past, dances have been on the eye roll list unless his friends were all going, so I’m wondering why this one is so important that he HAS to be there. I know the answer, but I’m refusing to deal with that right now, it’s bad enough that he’s going to be able to drive in two years.

May have been that Jaina broke his heart in Westfall.
