This is what you missed Thursday night.
The opening bands were great as well, The Rev. Payton put on a brilliant performace as usual and we were introduced to The Mighty Stef from Dublin. Both are definitely worth a listen

because I can, unlike my son and husband who have to go to their respective jobs/school the morning after a Flogging Molly concert.

Not only are the pics bad because they were taken with my cell phone, but it’s really hard to hold a beer, dance around and take a picture all at the same time. If you take all that into consideration, they’re pretty good.

I’m just going to say it was brilliant, I’ll do more later when my head doesn’t hurt.
We have a bunch of new people in the guild, and most of those are newer 70s, plus more than a few of us have alt characters that we play for fun as well. Kara runs kicked back off again last week and I didn’t end up going because I wasn’t really needed, but with the chance to nab buckets of badges instead of getting myself trashed in Heroic runs, has made me start offering to head in with either my healer or lock. I’m still trying to get the dagger off the Prince, but no luck, it refuses to drop while I’m there. We cleared all but Nightbane and Netherspite last night, I want to go back to sleep right now. I’m old and cranky this morning.
While the above isn’t what this post is about, it sets up the mood. I opened my email this morning and watched the spam roll through the filter and into the trash. Left in the inbox was a small notice that Flogging Molly will be playing the Tabernacle on March 8th, tickets go on sale Saturday. Yes, I am now awake, happy and jumping around the house…in my mind. So now I have something else that I can sneak under the tree perhaps for the kid. There’s nothing I look forward to more than a room full of drunk sweaty people, mosh pits and loud music. I need to remember to stand out of beer throwing range this year…..
