We had a bunch of stuff come up last month and didn’t get around to our Saturday movie, but the Spook Show is tomorrow and it’s the original 13 Ghosts with the cool glasses. Not gonna miss that one.

Spook Show Saturday
Comments OffWe’ll be out and about today, starting with the Silver Scream Spook Show and then meeting up with some friends. I spent most of yesterday surfing around for image and ideas to spark some creative stuff here, my brain has turned to mush it seems. I think I have something brewing, we’ll see how it falls together.
We had a great time at the Spook Show yesterday. They went all out on the pre-movie show and did a fantastic job, it was funny as hell. One cool thing they do each month is give a door prize to everyone who is a Fang Club memeber. These are usually little silly things for the kids like vampire teeth, plastic spiders and such, but they always stick with the theme of the film for the month. Last month with House of Wax they gave away lucky wish candles that were made with wax from the actual house of wax *cough*
So what do you give kids to go with King Kong? Something with bananas obviously, and grass, and jelly… unfortunately I missed the beginning of this conversation on the vid, the part where the kid cracked up and said the G and R could be left off the first word, but here’s what happens when you give away free banana drinks, after the movie of course. (that should have been a big clue there but no, he opened it and drank it anyway) For those interested, I’ll have the show posted to my youtube account later today.

I almost forgot about the Spook Show again. Ok, I didn’t really, I’ve been telling everyone here locally about it but I forgot you slackers that live to far away to do anything about it.
So in a sense of fair play and making you all realize what a cool thing you’re missing, I present the film of the month…. King Kong!! This is so going to rock.
Spook Show Saturday
Comments OffI have to say this was the best show ever! These guys get better every month and the theater has more people every time as well. I ended up heading out to the lobby for popcorn just as the film started and ran into Morte. We talked for a few about the fact that when we were all kids there was either a Saturday afternoon or midnight movie on tv with some kind of spooky host, be it Elvira or Dr. Shock, and that kids today don’t have anything like that, at least around here. I’ve thrown a few all of the clips up on YouTube, but some of the segments are a bit long so I’ll host them here for download as well.
So here is your chance to see what I go on about every month…a complete Silver Scream Spook Show in handy downloadable bits.
