I completely agree, it’s very interesting to see the different dynamics between Lotro and Warcraft. Lotro certainly has a more mature user base and they are more centered on having fun rather than competing or rushing to the level cap.

I think the tipping point for me was attending an “Ales and Tales” role play event in Bywater and realising that there were more people in that room than an old school Molten Core run, and there wasn’t a single naked gnome or dancing elf in sight. Everyone was respectful and joined in to the spirit of the occasion.

Thats the draw for an MMO for me, I don’t want to spend my downtime listening to an kid with A.D.D. off his Ritalin shouting ” u noob, I elite haxxor” in open chat.

I would rather be in Lord Of The Rings … they have Pie

I feel the same way every time I call Comcast with a network issue. I understand how tiered support works, but as an A+ certified tech, I would like to think that I have tried everything in the little dummy manual the first two tiers are reading through before I gave up and called them.
