It’s funny the things you have time to think about when you’re not locked at a computer for long periods of time during the day. The whole family needs to eat better, that’s been an ongoing thing with us, and with the husband getting his thyroid removed, it’s become more important he’s eating properly. The big excuse is that we don’t have time to make meals before heading out for the day, so here is the plan…

I’ve currently worked out menus including snacks for the next 3 days. I’ve got the list ready to go to the store after I do the train station drop in the morning. I have an hour set aside for exercise before everyone gets up, I can make breakfast and get everyone out the door. Next stop is the store and home to prep all the bits for whatever I’m making for lunch and dinner that day. That should cut down on the actual time spent around meal preparing. I’m starting to feel a bit June Cleaver-ish, but I know that in between lunch and dinner I’ve set aside time to write and work on some web projects. I’m not going totally house frau yet, so don’t worry.

I’m planning to track everything here as a means of keeping myself honest about what I get done. We’ll see how it goes.
