Let me see if I can get everyone up to speed in under 2 minutes. Husband went to dentist on Tuesday for a toothache, which turned out to be a cavity. They opted to also start a deep cleaning ie scraping everything off the teeth beyond the normal pain involved in a normal cleaning. He’s had a reaction to the anesthetic or is dealing with a minor infection which has put him out of commission. So, no family xmas stuff in the land of Alabama this weekend. My dad is attempting to suggest that they bring everything here and we go along with the original plans. OMGWTFBBQ!!!!!
That got stomped on quickly as the husband is in no shape to deal with anything and will probably be in bed for the next 2-3 days sleeping through this crap. There have been no fewer than 3 calls back and forth with my brother, who is trying to keep dad from doing his normal panic at not having things go to plan. There’s a possibility that we’ll head to my brother’s on Sunday, it will depend on how thing go in the next day .. however my dad is already making plans to do it.
I love my family, but I really don’t want to deal with them through this. The whole idea of moving everything here because my husband can’t travel is totally fucked. He’s sick, he feels like shit, and he’s probably going to sleep through the weekend….this just isn’t sinking in. All my dad is hearing is Family Xmas plans are not what they were, how do we fix it now!….
I have a bottle of Jameson from my birthday earlier this week…it’s most likely going to be empty tonight. I bought the kid ready cook stuff, so he’s good to play games and goof for the night which is fine with him. I’ll update over the course of this and let you know how it goes.
