Women who PWN UR FACE! Maybe it’s because I’m older, then again, maybe it’s because, mentally, I’m not; I will probably play games of some kind until I have no reflexes left. WarCrack WarCraft is a big one for me, it’s definitely in the “push a button, get a cookie” category and the folks at Blizzard do it very very very well. Despite the usual gripes and whines from people, the game continues to grow and people keep coming back.
I’ve been really lucky to have found a great guild, we’re mostly adults and we sometimes even act like we are, although we do slip into the OMG YR MOM mode during raids or just goofing off daily. I will admit to on occasion uttering the phrase, “Dude, I could be your mom, STFU!” We’re not a hardcore raiding guild, but we do shoot for 25 man content 4 nights a week. Right now we’re working our way through SSC and TK, with some other bits thrown in for giggles.
Where is all this going? I ran into a great community over on Live Journal of all places, and have gotten some great information as well as the silly SQUEE!! over getting new pets and mounts. I’ve actually gotten some good advice and seen some math in regards to character stats/talents that would make your brain bleed. The community is also a great support group for those times when, as a woman, you have to deal with a bunch of immature toads and you want a place to vent. So if WoW is a thing for you, head over and take a stroll through WoW Ladies and see what you find.
