We went to the gallery last night to check out the Wonka based art and ended up buying a piece. It’s going to stay at the gallery through the end of the exhibition, so I won’t be able to bring it home until right before Christmas, but that will give me time to find a place for it. The whole experience was a blast though. The girls from Blast Off Burlesque were all decked out in candy striped gear and were handing out candy to everyone. There were two chocolate fountains and an assortment of sweets that made your teeth ache.
As a promotion, there were 5 golden tickets behind some of the less expensive pieces that would give 50.00 off any purchase, and more than once I saw people peeking behind to see if they could find them. I’ll get a pic of our new addition up as soon as it arrives. It’s not a large piece, but it definitely fits in with the Boyd we have. We didn’t set out with the intent to buy anything but all three of us cracked up over the title “Still Life with Mutilated Banana” How could we resist?
