What to do…

The kid is with his dad on a trip and won’t be back until the 23rd. It’s very quiet around here. I should be working on the yard, and I will this weekend, because I’m paying some neighborhood kids to mow it for me today so I don’t have to do that part, and can move straight on to putting down the edging and mulch around the bushes out front. I’ve got some things for the back yard as well, but no pics because the kid has my camera.

I have some knitting to finish, some spinning I want to do, and a few purchases I want to make before the husband heads off in two weeks for a conference. Now if I could have just gotten rid of both of them in the same week…. nah, I would be nuts by then.

Bill Paying

it’s one of those things we all do once a month, and I sat down this afternoon and got to work. A good chunk of our bills are paid online so it’s a one stop thing, the rest are still cut and check and throw it in the mailbox variety and that’s where the fun happened. I had received a bill for one of my spinning magazines and it had arrived on a day that was particularly wet, so of course the envelope that was enclosed with the bill was sans adhesive. The only glue I have in my house, seriously I looked, was some Elmers Galactic Glue with Space Debris. It’s blue glue with dark blue and silver sparkling bits all through it. I have a feeling they’ll be talking about me when that one arrives at the office.

I wouldn’t have stuff like this to share with you.

I just watched Dr. Who. Holy fecking WOW! I have my opinions of where it’s going to go, the husband has his. We’ll see who’s right or close. I’m gonna have to keep my mouth shut now until the people in the US get it next week ;/

No, I haven’t forgotten I have a blog, I just chose to ignore it after posting a ton of crap every day for so long. Instead, I’ve been knitting a bit, actually pulled out the wheel and did some spinning, and finally got my paladin to 70. I should probably screen shot some of the moments like that, but I couldn’t be bothered, I’ll get some up later.

The husband and I had a quiet weekend alone and headed off to see Iron Man, I agree with most of the reviews I’ve read, go see it, it’s well worth it. Today is going to be tv catch up day for me as the game is down. I have all of the current Dr. Who episodes to watch through, and the final on Torchwood, which I’ve been avoiding watching because honestly I don’t want to deal with it. I cry during commercials for pete’s sake, I don’t need this today.

I’ve been tossing around the idea of getting in a big batch of roving and dying up some different lots and trying to sell some. The problem I have, is if they turn out well, I never want to part with them. I may give it a try, I may not, it will depend on how much of the current projects I can get finished.
